Welcome from Chapter Director, Carmen Weakland!
Riding is awesome clarity for me - nothing brings on the clarity like the wind whipping by as you lean into a deep curve and feel your ride respond through the twisties, tunes blazing through your helmet, sun shining and warming your leathers; big smile on your face. A total sense of freedom and control. The bond between riders – chapter members, friends or strangers on the highway who wave to one another, the riders at the fuel stop who want to talk rides and destinations – there are helping hands and support everywhere in this bond of bikerhood. There is nothing like the bond of chapter life!
My husband and I joined the Rose City HOG chapter in 2007 and I became a road captain in 2009 – an accomplishment I am very proud of – for myself and for encouraging others to get out there and ride and lead. Road captains plan and lead our monthly chapter rides, looking for roads less traveled and beautiful scenery on the way to a social lunch opportunity.
Ride Baby Ride – keep on perfecting your skills, encourage others to ride, be an example – a helping hand. It’s all about the sisterhood and the brotherhood of the ride.
Get involved and welcome to Rose City Life!
