City Challenge 2010

The Rules are:

  1. Only those cities in Washington and Oregon will be accepted.
  2. Visit cities on a motorcycle as rider or passenger and using the first letter of the visited cities, spell out “LATUS HARLEY DAVIDSON ROSE CITY HOG”.
  3. You must use a different city for each letter.
  4. You choose your ride – the list does not have to be completed in any particular order.
  5. Take a photo of you and your bike with an official sign or unique landmark with the name of the city to show you were there.
  6. Put photos on a disk and turn it into Rose City HOG no later than November 1, 2010.
  7. HAVE FUN!
Total mileage is being collected to see how many the participants traveled. Take mileage for each day you travel whether you visit 1 or 20 cities. Enter mileage for each ride in the space provided. (See Examples)

Examples on how to figure your mileage:

Example 1: Check mileage when leaving your home. If you ride 10 miles from your home to Oregon City and ride back home, you would calculate and post that as a 20 mile trip.

Example 2: Check mileage when leaving your home. If you ride 10 miles from your home to Gladstone, then ride 2 miles to Oregon City and then another 10 miles home, your total miles traveled would be 22 miles. Post the entire 22 miles in the mileage column for ‘O’ and indicate Oregon City. Post OC (Oregon City) in the mileage column for Gladstone. Remember to also post the date in both cities visited.

Example 3: Check mileage when leaving your home. If you are on a road trip to Sturgis and you stop off at La Grande for the ‘L’ letter. The mileage from your home to La Grande is 250 miles. Post 500 miles assuming you made a round trip and returned home.
