Rose City Chapter

Rose City HOG (Harley Owners Group) was formed in 1993 under the sponsorship of Latus Motors Harley-Davidson & Buell of Gladstone, Oregon. It's initial membership of 60 members has increased over the years to a current roster of over 450.

Rose City H.O.G.'s regularly scheduled monthly activities include at least two Chapter Rides and a Business Meeting, which is held on the 4th Tuesday of the month (not necessarily the last Tuesday!). Our Chapter Editor also publishes a very interesting and informative monthly newsletter, titled the Rose City H.O.G. Town Crier. We also have a Web Master that maintains our Chapter's awesome website.

As our Safety Officer and Road Captains want us all to ride as safely as possible, they conduct Group Riding Clinics for our members, as well as at least one annual Safe Rider Clinic with Rider's Edge, Latus Motors motorcycle rider education organization. Both of these activities have become extremely popular and are well attended.

Although our group is focused on riding our Harleys and having fun, our Chapter organizes events geared to include our non-riding family members as well. A few of our past activities include visits to the go-cart track, "Cosmic Bowling", and the very popular Harley homecoming parades at our local high schools. Additional activities are always being planned, you just never know what other kind of fun is in store for you. Our Chapter has put on 27 rides this last year and with 17 Road Captains, we are always getting to enjoy new places to ride and have fun. We really enjoy getting out of town and out on the back roads of Oregon.

Our Chapter is also active in the community.... We also sponsor several community fund raising events such as our annual Rose City HOG Poker Run, the Rose City HOG Ladies of Harley Holiday Gift Wrap fund raiser, and our Holiday Gift Tree, where items of need for the Children in Portland's Community Transitional School are donated and distributed by us with a goal of spreading a little holiday cheer.

The final event of the year is our Holiday Banquet and gift exchange, a fun and entertaining event to finish off a year of enjoying our bikes, rides, and the company of our fellow Rose City HOG members.

Our Chapter is easy to join! You must be a National HOG Member. $45 for full membership and $25 for Associate. The cost to Join Rose City HOG is "free"..... Nice!
